Dhanush’s ‘Kara’ OTT platform and streaming details

'Kara' OTT release date: When and where can we expect Dhanush's social drama?

Dhanush’s much-anticipated film ‘Kara’ was released today (April 30), and the film received a good response at its box office debut. Although the movie had a weekday release, it still garnered some decent houseful shows at various places, particularly in urban cities. Directed by Vignesh Raja, the action thriller features Dhanush in a rugged and intense role that has already caught the audience’s attention. Early reactions suggest that the film’s gripping tone and performances are working well.

Netflix bags ‘Kara’ OTT rights of Dhanush’s film

Along with its theatrical release, there is already strong buzz about the film’s OTT plans. It was officially announced earlier that Netflix secured the digital rights of ‘Kara’. As per Filmibeat, the film reportedly fetched a high price. The film will stream on the platform after completing its run in theatres. Though the exact OTT release date has not yet been announced, the film is likely to have its digital release after 4 weeks. It will also launch in several languages like Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada, thus increasing its scope to a larger audience.

Gripping story set in Gulf War backdrop drives interest for ‘Kara’

‘Kara’ is set in the early 1990s, during the Gulf War, and follows the life of Karasaami, who attempts to move past his previous problems. But gets trapped in circumstances that compel him to revert to crime, especially bank robbery, while trying to protect his family. This part features the emotion and action in the film. Such an unusual setting has attracted significant audience attention.

Strong cast and technical team add to the film’s appeal

‘Kara’ has a strong supporting cast that includes Mamitha Baiju, KS Ravikumar, Karunaas, Jayaram, among others. Music is composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, while Theni Eswar handles cinematography. The action sequences are designed to match the film’s intense tone. Although the film has already secured a powerful theatrical release and OTT deal, it will reach both theater audiences and online viewers. Go to Source
