Jr NTR clarifies sequel speculations

Earlier in April this year, during the grand success celebration of Mad Square, Jr NTR addressed growing speculation about the sequel. Speaking directly to fans, he said, “Some are saying that Devara 2 will not happen. I have to say that the sequel is definitely happening. We are just facing a small pause due to the Prasanth Neel project.”

‘Devara 2’ to expand the universe

‘Devara’ received mostly mixed reviews from the audiences and one of the reasons was due to the cliffhanger which led to the story ending abruptly. With ‘Devara 2’ finally announced, the fans are hoping that Koratala Siva and Jr NTR will be giving out a much better conclusion on what really happened in the first installment. Before ‘Devara 2’ arrives, if you are planning to watch the first part, have a look at our ETimes review. We gave ‘Devara’ a rating of 3 stars out of 5 and an excerpt from our official review says that the cliffhanger of the film felt forced and reminded of ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali’?
