Deepika backs out of an event in Paris due to flight cancellations

Deepika Padukone backs out of an event in Paris due to flight cancellation amidst the middle-east tensions: Report

Actor Deepika Padukone has reportedly cancelled her planned trip to Paris after flight disruptions caused by escalating tensions related to the Iran–Israel conflict escalation. The Bollywood star, who serves as a global ambassador for a luxury brand, was scheduled to attend an event in the French capital but had to withdraw after her flight was cancelled at the last minute.A source close to the actor said that travel arrangements had already been finalised before the disruption occurred. “Deepika was initially confirmed to attend. She had zeroed in on her outfits and begun fittings for the appearance. But her flight was among the many that were cancelled in the last few days. Also, given that the war has been escalating and affecting several countries across West Asia, she reconsidered whether it was the right time to be travelling,” the source told Mid-day. As of now, her team has not released an official statement addressing the cancellation of her Paris appearance. On movie front, Deepika will soon reunite with Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming film ‘King’. The project will also feature SRK’s daughter Suhana Khan in a leading role. Reports suggest that Shah Rukh and Suhana recently filmed a major sequence set during Vijayadashami celebrations in Mumbai. For the scene, the makers reportedly built a massive set designed to recreate the grand scale and energy of a festive procession. The sequence was reportedly shot across eight nights, with Suhana performing multiple action stunts, hinting at a high-octane role in the film. King is slated to release in theatres on December 24, 2026.Apart from King, Deepika is also part of filmmaker Atlee’s upcoming project ‘AA22XA6’ alongside Allu Arjun. According to a report by Variety India, the makers may reveal the film’s official title on Allu Arjun’s birthday, April 8, 2026, though there has been no formal confirmation yet.
