'Dashavatar' box office collections day 7: Marathi thriller holds well; Rs 75 lakhs short of Rs 10 cr

The Marathi thriller ‘Dashavatar’ , directed by Subodh Khanolkar, has managed to hold its ground through the first week. The movie is inching closer to the Rs 10 crore milestone.As per early estimates by the Sacnilk website, the film collected around Rs 1.20 crore on its seventh day. This has resulted in taking its total to Rs 9.25 crore net in India. Looking at these collections figures, it’s sure that the Marathi film has managed to impress the audiences.

Box office journey of ‘Dashavatar’ so far

‘Dashavatar’ opened with Rs 60 lakhs on its first Friday which is a modest start. However, the momentum picked up quickly over the weekend with Rs 1.4 crore on Saturday and a solid Rs 2.4 crore on Sunday.Weekdays saw stable collections, with Monday earning Rs 1.1 crore and Tuesday improving slightly to Rs 1.3 crore. Wednesday and Thursday stayed steady at Rs 1.25 crore and Rs 1.20 crore respectively. The movie had an overall 27.59% occupancy on Thursday, especially high during evening and night shows. The thriller is now only Rs Rs 75 lakhs short of hitting the Rs 10 crore mark.

The film is led by Dilip Prabhawalkar alongside Mahesh Manjrekar, Siddharth Menon, Priyadarshini Indalkar, Bharat Jadhav, Abhinay Berde, Ravi Kale, Vijay Kenkare, Sunil Tawde, and Aarti Wadagbalkar. The trailer had already built curiosity, and it promised a unique mix of myth and suspense which we had earlier seen in the thriller superhit film ‘Kantara/ starring Rishab Shetty in the lead.
