The plot and other details about ‘Cocktail 2’ may still be under wraps, but the first song details are already out.

Song certification and runtime

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) on Thursday officially granted a ‘UA 16+’ rating to the track “Jab Talak” from the upcoming film starring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna. According to the certification, the song that has a runtime of 1 minute and 51 seconds, was certified on October 16, 2025. This certification marks a significant milestone in the film’s promotional journey. The ‘UA 16+’ rating indicates that the content is deemed suitable for audiences aged 16 and above. The certification comes well ahead of the film’s anticipated release in 2026.

Film shoot in Italy

Early this month, fans spotted the leading trio out and about the streets of Sicily, Italy, filming their scenes together. One of the scenes involved a song and dance scene on a rooftop amid a party setting.

About the film

Cocktail 2 is generating considerable buzz, especially with its fresh ensemble cast featuring Shahid, Kriti, and Rashmika. The film is produced by Maddock Films and directed by Homi Adajania, known for his work on the original. This sequel comes over a decade after the release of ‘Cocktail’ which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty in lead roles. The film that hit the big screens in 2012, went on to become a box office hit, with the movie crossing the Rs 100 crore mark.
