‘Chand Mera Dil’, the Lakshya and Ananya Panday starrer is all set for its theatrical release today, May 22. The romantic film that has been in the news over its censorship battle with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), got a last-minute runtime update ahead of its theatrical release.According to early box office reports on sacnilk, the film is currently running across 402 shows and has collected approximately Rs 2 lakh net in Day 1 advance bookings. The film has also reportedly sold over 32,000 tickets across major national cinema chains, indicating a slow but steady growing momentum. As per the report, the film’s runtime has been extended before its release. The final runtime of the film currently stands at 145.53 minutes (2 hours and 25 minutes).Directed by Vivek Soni, the romantic drama, which is said to have a dark twist, has also opted for a new pricing strategy to boost opening-day footfalls. Reports indicate that tickets for all shows before 5 pm on May 22 have been priced at Rs 149.Despite the film nearing release, some theatres in Mumbai and other regions reportedly experienced minor delays in opening advance bookings. The film marks the first collaboration for Panday and Lakshya.
