Chahal reacts to Dhanashree’s Rs 4 cr alimony after HC verdict

'Maa kasam khao...' Yuzvendra Chahal reacts to ex Dhanashree Verma's Rs 4 crore alimony after HC verdict

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s recent social media post has ignited discussions about his personal life. The post, referencing a court ruling on alimony, has led fans to speculate about his divorce from Dhanashree Verma. Chahal’s actions come amidst reports of their settlement. Dhanashree Verma has previously addressed alimony rumors, stating they are untrue and that the divorce was mutual.

Cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is once again making waves online! His latest post reacting to a High Court verdict has fans talking and guessing what exactly he’s hinting at.

The controversial post

Chahal posted a screenshot of a court ruling that said, “Financially independent wives cannot demand alimony from their husbands.” He added, “Maa Kasam Khao Nahi Paltoge iss Decision Seh,” meaning, “Swear on your mother you won’t go back on this decision.” Although he deleted the post soon after, it quickly went viral, with fans speculating whether it was aimed at Dhanashree or just his way of supporting the court’s verdict.

Fans react to timing

Fans quickly linked the timing of Chahal’s story to the alleged alimony talks, sparking renewed discussion about the couple’s high-profile breakup. Many shared memes and reactions, calling the post a “savage move,” while others urged him to “move on gracefully.”Interestingly, the post appeared around the same time Chahal featured in a playful Instagram reel with former Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan. In the video, which also included influencer Sophie Shine, Dhawan jokingly told Chahal, “Teri bhi shaadi karva denge beta,” leaving him looking visibly embarrassed. The playful clip, captioned “Ek baar phir se dulha banne ka mann hai beta… tu ruk ja thoda,” quickly went viral, earning praise for their comic timing and camaraderie. Despite the social media buzz around his personal life, Chahal continues to entertain fans with his humor — both on and off the field. The couple, married in December 2020, were among cricket’s most-followed pairs before splitting in March this year following Bombay High Court proceedings. Reports suggested a settlement of around Rs 4 crore, though neither confirmed the amount officially.

Dhanashree addresses alimony rumours

During her appearance on Rise and Fall, Dhanashree told Aditya Narayan, “Officially, it has been almost a year. It happened quickly because it was mutual, that’s why when people say alimony, it’s wrong. Just because I am not saying anything, you will go on saying anything? My parents have taught me to only justify to people whom I care about. Why waste time explaining those who don’t even know you?”Reacting to the alimony reports doing the rounds, she added, “Eventually, you get hurt when you see that happening. It was not needed. None of it is true. I felt worse wondering why did he do it? It’s okay, I will always keep his respect, that is what I believe in. Now, I don’t think I can date anybody.”Dhanashree Verma sat for an interview with Humans of Bombay, she spoke about Yuzvendra’s t-shirt drama. She said, “We came out peeche se, mai ne toh normal t-shirt pehni hai, humko thuri dikhana hai camera ke aage aake kuch batana hai. So, I went peeche ke raaste se and I went and sat in my car. And my friend was there with me and we were still trying to grasp our breath. It was that shaky moment of your life and you know people are going to blame you only. Even before this t-shirt stunt happened, we all were aware that people are going to blame me for this because of the pattern.”Dhanashree revealed she was shocked when she saw Yuzvendra’s t-shirt and the words on it, saying she hadn’t expected him to pull such a stunt.
