Bradley Cooper to star opposite Margot Robbie in ‘Ocean’s 11’ prequel? Here’s what we know

Whispers throughout Tinseltown suggest that two of Hollywood’s brightest stars, Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie, might be stepping into lead roles for a thrilling prequel to ‘Ocean’s 11.’ Set against the glamorous backdrop of 1960s Europe, this film promises to delve into the intriguing events that set the stage for the original heist.

The ‘Oceans’ franchise is perhaps one of the most popular spy franchises to exist. While fans of the series have been buzzing with excitement, many have been left wondering about who would lead the film this time around. As per the latest report, famed actor Bradley Cooper is being eyed to play the lead of the upcoming film, ‘Ocean’s 11’ prequel. Not only that, but ‘Barbie’ star Margot Robbie is also being eyed for the female lead as well.

Bradley Cooper and Margot Robbie are being considered to lead ‘Ocean’s 11’ prequel

According to Variety, Bradley Cooper is at the top of the list for the lead role in ‘Ocean’s 11’ prequel. As of now, nothing has officially been confirmed from the actor’s side or from the film’s development team.Other than being considered to star opposite Margot Robbie in the film, the star is also being eyed to produce and direct the film, according to the report. The news is yet to be confirmed by the official team; however, if Cooper does join the project behind the camera, this will become his 4th overall directorial feature.Earlier, Lee Isaac Chung, who is best known for his work on ‘Minari’, ‘Twisters’, and ‘Lucky Life’, as well as Jay Roach, known for working on ‘Meet The Parents’, ‘The Roses’, and ‘The Austin Powers’ franchise, both exited the much awaited project due to reasons that were not clarified to the public. Other than the prequel, George Clooney revealed in a Variety interview last year that there are plans for a new film where the ensemble will age as criminals. He had shared that “There was something about the idea that we’re too old to do what we used to do, but we’re still smart enough to know how to get away with something, that just appeals to me.”

What to expect from the ‘Ocean’s 11’ prequel

The upcoming film, as per the reports, is said to be set around the time of 1960s Europe. The storyline is said to take place before the events of the 2001 ‘Ocean’s 11’, which originally starred George Clooney, Brad Pitt, and Julia Roberts. Go to Source
