‘Border 2’ box office collection day 7

'Border 2' box office collection day 7: The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty film sees major drop post Republic day, inches towards Rs 230 crore

Sunny Deol’s patriotic fervor continues to dominate the box office. ‘Border 2’ has achieved a massive opening, raking in ₹213 crore in its first week, fueled by strong Republic Day sentiment. While not matching ‘Gadar 2’s’ record-breaking pace, the film’s success highlights Deol’s enduring appeal, especially in mass centers and single screens.

Sunny Deol has once again reinforced his stronghold over patriotic cinema, proving that he remains a formidable force at the Indian box office. With ‘Border 2’ delivering a thunderous start over the Republic Day 2026 weekend and ‘Gadar 2’ having rewritten records during the Independence Day frame in 2023, the veteran actor has now powered two of the biggest extended holiday weekends ever seen in Hindi cinema. Though, ‘Border 2’ is laging behind ‘Gadar 2’.Border 2 Movie Review ‘Border 2’ which also stars Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty apart from Deol, is directed by Anurag Singh has minted Rs 54.5 crore on Sunday and Rs 59 crore on Monday due to Republic day holiday. This came after an opening day number of Rs 30 crore. Clearly, the purpose of the film was solved to release around a National holiday like this. On Tuesday, one expected the film to decline which it did. The Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty starrer, directed by Anurag Singh, made Rs 20 crore on Tuesday, which is day 5. On day 6, the film has collected Rs 13 crore and on day 7, it has made Rs 11.25 crore so far. The total collection of ‘Border 2’ so far now stands at Rs Rs 224.25 crore, according to Sacnilk.

Memes Backfire: Varun Dhawan’s Border 2 Triumph Turns Haters Into Fans

Released on January 23 to take full advantage of the blockbuster holiday window, ‘Border 2’ opened to an electrifying response, especially in mass centres and single-screen theatres. Driven by intense patriotic sentiment and nostalgia associated with the iconic 1997 original, the war drama began its run with an opening of around Rs 30 crore net and went on to show strong momentum through Saturday and Sunday.Day 1 [1st Friday] ₹ 30 Cr -Day 2 [1st Saturday] ₹ 36.5 Cr Day 3 [1st Sunday] ₹ 54.5 Cr Day 4 [1st Monday] ₹ 59 Cr Day 5 [1st Tuesday] ₹ 20 Cr Day 6 [1st Wednesday] ₹ 13 Cr Day 7 [1st Thursday] ₹11.25 Cr **Total ₹ 224.25 CrAlso See: ‘Dhurandhar’ OTT release OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: Makers opt for no promotion strategy for its digital debut too – Details inside
