BLACKPINK confirms comeback: Announces February release date for 3rd EP

BLACKPINK is set to make a grand return with their third mini-album, ‘Deadline,’ releasing on February 27, 2026. This marks their first release in over three years, following their 2022 EP ‘Born Pink.’ The announcement, accompanied by a cryptic teaser, has sent waves of excitement through their dedicated fanbase, eagerly anticipating new music from the global sensation.

BLACKPINK is officially back! The group recently took to their social media account to share a teaser video of their upcoming comeback. Last year, the group finally got together after a long time to release their digital single ‘Jump.’ The song was a huge hit, though fans had been waiting for the announcement regarding their comeback.

BLACKPINK to make a February comeback

Taking to their social media account, the group announced that they will be making their official comeback in February 2026. The video consisted of a black screen with pink waves running across the screen, hiding the text behind it. The video is accompanied by the sound of a car continuously revving up. It later reveals the official date and time of their upcoming 3rd mini extended play titled ‘Deadline.’ BLACKPINK will officially be making a comeback on February 27 this coming month. This will be the girl group’s first release in the past 3 years and 5 months. They last released their 2nd mini EP in 2022, titled ‘Born Pink.’The post was shared along with the caption, “BLACKPINK 3rd MINI ALBUM [DEADLINE] 2026. 02. 27. 12AM(EST) / 1PM(KST) #BLACKPINK #블랙핑크 #3rdMINIALBUM #DEADLINE #YG.”According to the Korea Times, their company in the matter stated, “We sincerely thank fans for their patience over the long wait. We plan to repay their support with highly refined music and ask for continued interest.”

As soon as the teaser and the announcement came to light, fans of BLACKPINK could not contain their excitement. Many of them took to the comment section to share their excitement with the world. One fan’s comment read, “AT LEAST IT’S SOMETHING FINALLY ❤️😭,” while another person added on, “FINALLY MY GIRL RELEASES ALBUM EVEN THOUGH IT’S FEBRUARY AHHHH COME ON FEBRUARY 😍.”

‘Deadline’ is said to be the big finale of their ongoing group tour of the same name. The girls are net set to perform at the Tokyo Dome from January 16 to January 18. They will then go to Hong Kong’s Kai Tak Stadium and will perform at the venue from January 24 to January 26.
