'Bhooth Bangla' box office collection day 9: Akshay Kumar’s film joins the Rs 100 crore club; outshines ‘Dhurandhar’ and ‘Michael’

The much-awaited collaboration of actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan, titled ‘Bhooth Bangla’, was released on Friday, April 17. The horror comedy had an impressive opening at the box office. It gave the previous box-office champion, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar 2’, a good run for its money right from the beginning. The movies had a strong first week and followed with an impressive start to week 2. ‘Bhooth Bangla’ continued at the same pace on its second Saturday. It reached a new milestone – entered the Rs 100 crore club in domestic collections, and earned over Rs 160 crore gross worldwide. These numbers come amid competition from Hollywood’s big release, ‘Michael.’ The film is based on the life of music legend Michael Jackson.

‘Bhooth Bangla’ box office collection day 9 update

According to Sacnilk, ‘Bhooth Bangla,’ the movie that packs the nostalgia of the 2000s, perfect punches, and supernatural elements, earned Rs 10.75 crore across 9,266 shows on its 9th day. With this, the movie has entered the Rs 100 crore club, with the tally now at Rs 100.90 crore. Further, India’s gross collections stand at Rs 120.10 crore.Meanwhile, the overseas business added Rs 4 crore to the tally. The overseas gross reached Rs 41.50 crore on Saturday. This has pushed the worldwide gross collection to Rs 161.60 crore.
