Akshay Kumar’s ‘Bhooth Bangla’ has been slow and steady when it comes to weekday collections at the box office. The horror comedy is in its second week at the theaters and is set to breach the Rs 200 crore worldwide mark at the box office soon. ‘Bhooth Bangla’ box office collection Day 13 (second Wednesday)

The Priyadarshan directorial collected Rs 84.40 crore in its first week in theaters. As per the Sacnilk report, Day 13 saw a 25.3 % drop in its box office as compared to Day 12. It minted Rs 3.25 crore across 8,823 shows in the country. With that, the total India gross collection of the movie reached Rs 147.88 crore, while the total India net earnings are now Rs 124.50 crore.

Worldwide collection of ‘Bhooth Bangla’

Within four days of its release in cinemas, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s collaboration project had raked in Rs 100 crore. Now, the movie has almost added another Rs 100 crore to its worldwide gross. On Day 13, the film netted Rs 0.75 crore in the overseas market, pushing its total overseas gross to Rs 51.50 crore. With that, the total worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 199.38 crore.The film has just missed the Rs 200 crore mark, which it will be surpassing by this weekend.

Box office competition

While Akshay’s film is leading in box office numbers, the horror comedy is also facing competition from the biopic on Michael Jackson titled ‘Michael’ and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, directed by Aditya Dhar.
