Fans react to Barbie Ferreira’s transformation

Videos and photos of the actress showing off her toned new physique has gone viral online, with fans flooding the comment sections with reactions to her stunning transformation. One asked in disbelief, “Are you kidding me, who is this woman?” Another commented, “Even when she was big I thought she was cute but it’s insane how much of a difference weight loss makes.” Another added, “She looks good.” While some went gaga over the actress’ new look, others criticised her for her new look, commenting, “Body positivity works, as long as they manage to be thin.” However, fans were quick to defend her, pushing back against criticism surrounding discussions of female body positivity. One commented, “Just bc someone lost weight doesn’t mean they are not body positive. Y’all need to calm down.”“So when a girl is big, everyone complain. When she looses weight, everyone complain. Can we leave women’ bodies alone please? She seems happy, healthy no matter what size…” another post read. In recent months, some fans have speculated online that Ferreira may have used weight-loss medication such as Ozempic, much like the other Hollywood actors and singers, who have spoken publicly about using injectable treatments to lose weight. However, Ferreira has not publicly commented on how she achieved her recent weight loss.

Barbie Ferreira’s comments on ‘body positivity’

The actor has previously spoken about the pressures associated with being labelled a body-positivity figure. She criticised the alleged “backhanded compliments” she received with being called a “body positivity queen.”In an interview with Vogue, Ferreira opened up about how modeling helped her learn to accept her body. She said, “When I started modelling, I was faced with the reality that I can’t hide anymore. It put me in a position where I was forced to love myself. Being in front of a camera has taught me more about myself than I could ever teach myself. I always felt so small… Well, emotionally small, and physically big. I felt like nothing special. But having a community of people online who were supportive has opened my eyes in many ways.”

Barbie Ferreira’s upcoming film

Ferreira’s appearance in Paris comes ahead of the release of her latest rom-com, ‘Mile End Kicks‘. The film directed by Chandler Levack, is scheduled for a North American theatrical release on April 17.
