SS Rajamouli, Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Tamannaah Bhatia,Anushka Shetty, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj are all set to bring back the magic of Baahubali films in an re-imagined and re-edited version. Rajamouli himself has re-edited the two films into one 3 hour and 45 minute film which is slated to release on 31st October. Producer Shobu Yarlagadda mentioned to ETimes, that back in time also they had tried to re-edit the two films into one . He said , “ We actually tried something like this around 2018–19, it was just an edit. We combined both the films to see how it would look, but everyone got busy with different projects, and we dropped it.”
But as it is said that things happen when their time has come. On the 10th anniversary of the first film Baahubali- The Beginning, everything fell in place and Rajamouli who is also working on his globe trotter film with Mahesh Babu came on board to edit the film and some time back the edit was locked. The advance booking for the film is yet to open in India but given Prabhas’s stardom in the United States of America, the tickets have gone on sale and in just 2 days the film’s premiere day advance booking has jumped from over USD 60,000 to now over USD 100,000. To give context, Pradeep Rangantahn’s latest release Dude’s premiere day advance booking was also USD 100,000 just a few hours before the first show rolled out, nearly 70 % jump in 1 day.
