Avneet Kaur FINALLY addresses Virat Kohli liking her post controversy: 'May the love...'

Actor Avneet Kaur, who is set to star in the upcoming film ‘Love In Vietnam’, recently addressed the controversy surrounding her social media interaction with cricketer Virat Kohli. The incident, which took place on April 30 this year, went viral after Kohli liked one of her Instagram posts and then unliked it. The activity, which was caught by sharp-eyed fans, sparked a flurry of comments and jokes online.

At the trailer launch event of the film ‘Love In Vietnam’, Avneet was asked about the incident and the appreciation she receives from well-known figures. According to the Hindustan Times report, she kept her response brief but positive, simply stating, “Milta rahe pyaar… Aur kya hi keh sakti hoon (May the love keep coming…what more can I really say).”

The social media storm began after Avneet posted a series of pictures in a green crop top and a printed skirt. Within minutes, screenshots of Virat Kohli’s ‘like’ started circulating.In response, Virat Kohli took to his Instagram story to clarify the situation. He wrote, “I’d like to clarify that while clearing my feed, it appears the algorithm may have mistakenly registered an interaction. There was absolutely no intent behind it. I request that no unnecessary assumptions be made. Thank you for your understanding.”

Adding to the social media chatter, both Avneet and Virat were spotted attending the same Wimbledon 2025 match between tennis stars Novak Djokovic and Alex de Minaur. Both posted about the event on their Instagram accounts, with Virat sharing a picture of Djokovic with the caption, “What a match. It was business as usual for the gladiator.”While the two were not seen together, their shared presence at the international sporting event further sparked meme fests and speculations, even after Kohli’s clear explanation.
