Asia Cup Final 2025: Mamootty, Anupam Kher, Anil Kapoor, Preity Zinta, Varun Dhawan and other celebs laud Team India's win against Pakistan

Bollywood and south celebs filled the social media with celebratory messages on Sunday night as India clinched the Asia Cup final in Dubai with a thrilling five-wicket victory over Pakistan. From Mammootty and Anupam Kher to Preity Zinta, Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Amitabh Bachchan, celebrities poured in messages of pride and celebration.Mammootty was among the first to react, posting a picture on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption: “Team India didn’t just win the Asia Cup, they owned it. Champions without a single defeat. Absolutely magnificent! (Blue heart and trophy emojis).”Anil Kapoor echoed the sentiment with a short but powerful note: “India Zindabad.”Anupam Kher, on the other hand, let his emotions do the talking. In an Instagram video, the actor punched the air and repeatedly chanted, “Bharat Mata ki jay! Kya baat hai! What a game! Oh my God. Jeetenge bhai jeetenge. Bharat Mata ki jay! Vande Mataram.” He added, “Khush ho gaya dil. Kya bolun main? Superb. Proud of my country, proud of this cricket team. Fantastic, very well played. God bless them.” Alongside the video, he captioned, “Bharat Mata ki jai! #Cricket #AsiaCupFinal #TeamIndia #Cricket.” Preity Zinta also joined in the chorus, tweeting: “Wow !!! What a game. CONGRATULATIONS to Team India for winning the Asia Cup! Thank you, Tilak, Shivam & Kuldeep, for this thrilling victory. Ting! #indvspak2025.” Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Dhawan celebrated during a promotional event for their film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. Janhvi posted a clip where Varun teased her, reminding her to repeat her earlier patriotic shout. Taking the cue, Janhvi exclaimed, “Bharat mata ki jai.” She cheekily captioned the post: “Before you’ll edit the vid and post out of context, but we won!!!!!!!! Sanskari style celebration!!!!! #IndiaWon.” Amitabh Bachchan, never one to miss a witty moment, poked fun at Shoaib Akhtar’s recent slip-up where he confused Abhishek Sharma with Abhishek Bachchan. Big B tweeted: “T 5516(i) – Jeet gaye !! Well played ‘Abhishek Bachchan’ .. Udhar jabaan ladkhadai, aur udhar, bina batting bowling fielding kiye, ladkhada diya dushman ko!! Bolti bandh!! Jai Hind! Jai Bharat! Jai Maa Durga!!!!” Ranveer Singh also marked the win by sharing a screenshot of a WhatsApp message he had sent before the match ended: “It’s Tilak’s moment, let’s go!!!”Vijay Deverakonda joined the celebrations, cheering Tilak Verma with a post that read: “Indiaaaaaaaaa. Our Boy killed it.” Vivek Oberoi, too, was all praise for the young cricketer and his teammates. He wrote: “Saamne koi bhi ho, Bhaarat Tilak lagaakar hi ghar bhejega.
