Legendary singer Asha Bhosle suffers cardiac arrest, rushed to Breach Candy hospital in Mumbai

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle who is 92 years old has been rushed to the hospital on Saturday night. Reporters on the field have confirmed that she was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest and pulmonary problems. ANI also has further shared the information and wrote on X, “Singer Asha Bhosle has been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital: Breach Candy Hospital Trust.” Further details on her health are yet unknown and we wish her a speedy recovery, as many fans also remain concerned about the veteran singer. Asha Bhosle, born on September 8, 1933, is one of the most celebrated and versatile voices in Indian music, with a career spanning over seven decades. Despite being Lata Mangeshkar’s younger sister, Bhosle carved her own identity with an extraordinary range, effortlessly moving from classical-based melodies to cabaret numbers, pop, ghazals, and folk songs.Her filmography is vast, with thousands of songs across Hindi cinema and several regional languages. She became especially iconic through her collaborations with composers like R. D. Burman, O. P. Nayyar, and Khayyam. Some of her most memorable songs include “Piya Tu Ab To Aaja” (Caravan), “Dum Maro Dum” (Hare Rama Hare Krishna), “In Aankhon Ki Masti” (Umrao Jaan), “Yeh Mera Dil” (Don), and “Chura Liya Hai Tumne” (Yaadon Ki Baaraat). Each of these tracks reflects her ability to bring distinct mood and personality into a song.
