Arijit Singh pens emotional note for fans after retirement

Arijit Singh pens emotional note for fans after retirement announcement; says pending songs will keep releasing ‘maybe even next year’

After announcing his retirement from playback singing earlier this year, Arijit Singh has once again reached out to his fans — this time with a deeply personal and emotional message. While he has stopped accepting new assignments, the singer clarified that several unfinished songs are still lined up for release over the coming months.

“This message is just for my listeners”

Taking to X, Arijit shared a heartfelt note addressed exclusively to his fans.“This message is just for my listeners. Please don’t read and swipe right now if you are not my listener, it’s a humble request. Hello beautiful people! ❤️ I just want to tell you all that I love you. Thank you so much for your kindness in this ruthless world,” he wrote.Reassuring fans that his voice will continue to be heard despite his decision, he added, “Although I have stopped taking new assignments, the list of pending songs are not less you know. I will have to complete a lot of songs. Dont involve into explaining people, How many times will you? there are so many unfinished songs, they are gonna keep releasing until done. Maybe through this whole year. Maybe it will touch next year too.”He concluded the note with a spiritual appeal: “Be peaceful. Try to get out of this platform. Remove spike proteins from your body, leave 5g, read, love, meditate. Jay Devi!”

Industry in shock, Aamir Khan visits Murshidabad

Last month, the film industry was taken by surprise when Arijit announced that he would be stepping away from playback singing. The decision marked the end of what he described as a “wonderful” journey.Soon after the announcement, reports surfaced that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan had travelled to Arijit’s hometown, Murshidabad, to meet him personally. On Monday, a behind-the-scenes video from the making of the title track of Junaid Khan’s film Ek Din was released. The clip offered glimpses of Aamir spending time with Arijit and his family — from sharing meals and flying kites to recording the song together. The candid moments reflected warmth, respect, and genuine affection.During the visit, Aamir made an emotional appeal to the singer. “For sometime you want to take a break or you don’t want to sing for Hindi films? Aise mat kar yaar, hum logon ka kya hoga bhai?” he said in the video, urging him to reconsider his decision.

“It was a wonderful journey”

Back in January, Arijit had informed fans via Instagram that he would no longer take up new playback assignments. “Hello, Happy New Year to all. I want to thank you all for giving me so much love all these years as listeners. I am happy to announce that I am not going to be taking any new assignments as a playback vocalist from now on. I am calling it off. It was a wonderful journey,” he had written. Go to Source
