Anushka Shetty’s latest release ‘Ghaati’ is facing a tough outing at the box office despite its star cast. Directed by Krish Jagarlamudi, it started with some promising numbers but has seen a dip in collection. The movie on day 4 collected Rs 58 lakh as per early estimates. As per early trade estimates by Sacnilk, ‘Ghaati’ earned Rs 58 lakh on its fourth day, taking the total to an estimated Rs 5.47 crore. The film opened decently with Rs 2 crore on Day 1 but faced a drop to Rs 1.74 crore on Day 2. Saturday saw another decline, with the film collecting Rs 1.15 crore. The Sunday figures slumped further, with the film struggling to even cross the Rs 1 crore mark.

Occupancy trends

According to the trade analyst report, ‘Ghaati’ recorded an overall 15.73% Telugu occupancy on Monday, September 8, 2025. Morning shows stood at 14.12%, afternoons at 16.71%, evenings at 16.39%, and night shows at 15.69%. The figures indicate that the film has not managed to hold strong engagement with audiences across show timings.

Competition at the box office

One of the challenges for the film is the stiff challenge due to other new releases like ‘Madraasi’, ‘Hridayapoorvam’, and ‘Lokah Chapter 1 – Chandra’, which are pulling audiences. Alongside Anushka Shetty, the film features Vikram Prabhu, Ramya Krishnan, Jisshu Sengupta, Jagapathi Babu, Larissa Bonesi, and Chaitanya Rao in pivotal roles. The story of the film is set in the Eastern Ghats region along the Andhra-Odisha border, where there is a hub of cannabis smuggling. The film features a marginalized tribal community known as the Ghaatis. They work as laborers for the smuggling business run by powerful crime lords Kaastala Naidu and Kundulu Naidu.DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers in this article are compiled from our proprietary sources and diverse public data.
