Anushka says calm approach changed her and Virat’s life

'I would react too quickly': Anushka Sharma says calm approach changed her and Virat Kohli's life

Anushka Sharma shares how thoughtful responses improved her life and influenced Virat Kohli. Spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori highlights their journey towards peace through spirituality. The couple prioritizes family and spiritual well-being, setting an example for a balanced life. They are currently in London with their children, away from the public eye.

Anushka Sharma recently opened up about how learning to stay calm and respond thoughtfully has transformed her life—and even influenced her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli.

Responding thoughtfully improved her life

At a promotional event for a sports brand, Anushka said, “A few years ago, I used to react too quickly to situations. Now, I’m learning to respond thoughtfully, and it has really improved the quality of my life.” She even revealed how her calm approach has also impacted Virat. She added, “It has changed my life… and yours?” pointing to his impulsive on-field reactions. She continued, “Sometimes the bowlers aren’t celebrating as much as Virat is…”

Jaya Kishori on the couple’s spiritual journey

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, motivational and spiritual speaker Jaya Kishori talked about the couple choosing spirituality. She said, “In total, a successful person is the one who goes on a spiritual path. Only then will he be able to bring peace in his success, his family, and everything.”She stressed on the fact that even after having everything in their life, there was someting missing which made them follow this path. She said, “They already had everything — work, money, house — but they were missing that peace, which took them towards spirituality. They still have everything, but now they also have peace.”

Setting an example through spirituality

Jaya Kishori said, “Sometimes they feel emotionally unstable, then they try to come closer to God. Sometimes in work, you see, they are playing very well, sometimes they are not. Don’t think they have a perfect life, only they can tell you how their life is.” She went on to add, “But they are setting a very good example that when a materially successful person shows you that they also need spirituality for peace and satisfaction, it’s a big lesson for the world.”Praising the balance the couple maintains, she continued, “They didn’t leave everything — not their home, not their work, not their family. They balanced it all, and that balance comes from spirituality. This is what we call a complete life.”Meawhile, after Virat announced his retirement from Test cricket in May 2025, he and Anushka have been prioritizing family time and their spiritual well-being over public appearances. The couple is currently spending time in London with their children, Vamika and Akaay, away from the media glares. Go to Source
