Anupam Kher honours friendship, attends school event for Satish Kaushik’s daughter

Anupam Kher attended Satish Kaushik’s daughter Vanshikha’s school play on March 9, sharing joy on Instagram: “TOTAL JOY… She is talented!” He recalled street plays with late friend Satish, who died in 2023. Kher praised Vanshikha’s acting, vowing to support her always.

Anupam Kher has once again shown the strength of his bond with the late Satish Kaushik’s family. The actor, who shared an unbreakable friendship with Kaushik for decades, continues to stand by the late actor’s family even today. In a recent post, Kher revealed that he attended a school event as a guardian for Kaushik’s daughter, Vanshikha.

Anupam Kher visits the school to watch Vanshikha’s performance

On March 9, Anupam revealed that he visited Vanshikha’s school to watch her perform in a play. The young girl participated in a nukkad performance during the school event. Reflecting on the moment, Kher recalled the days when he and Satish used to perform street plays together in Delhi. Watching Vanshikha on stage brought those cherished memories flooding back for him.

Anupam Kher pens an emotional note for Vanshikha

Sharing his thoughts, he wrote, “TOTAL JOY: Attending Vanshikha’s school function as a parent and seeing her perform in a school #NukkadPlay was the biggest joy of my life. Years back Satish and I used to do #StreetPlays in Delhi! She is talented, hardworking and good actress!. I must congratulate the #JBCN Oshiwara school for organising the event so effectively and efficiently! Looking forward to attending #Vanshikha’s all future events! Jai Ho! #MereDostKiBeti #MyDaughter”. He also uploaded a brief video expressing his pride in Vanshikha’s performance. Sharing the moment with Satish’s daughter, he said, “So I came to Vanshikha’s school to see her play. She was excellent,” praising her acting skills and the confidence she showed on stage.

About Satish Kaushik

For the unfamiliar, Satish Kaushik passed away in March 2023 after having a heart attack in Gurugram. Known for his comic roles, Kaushik acted in many popular films like ‘Mr. India’, ‘Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro’, ‘Ram Lakhan’, ‘Saajan Chale Sasural’, ‘Deewana Mastana’, ‘Udta Punjab’, and ‘Kaagaz’.
