About ‘Shakti Shalini’

Shot amid a rural setting the footage was from a night sequence, thus only adding to the excitement about all that the horror film has in store. Unlike the actress’ previously revealed look from the film, which was teased during Ayushmann Khurrana’s ‘Thamma’ post-credit scene, the latest video features Padda with her hair worn down in a messy style, adding to the eerie atmosphere of the scene.Previous set leaks from the sets had shown Padda in a completely different avatar. In the videos, the actress was seen dressed as a schoolgirl, sporting braided hair and a green salwar school uniform, leading fans to speculate about her character possibly coming under the influence of a supernatural force or possession.

‘Shakti Shalini’ cast and release date

While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the film’s plot, the leaked footage has only added to the fan theories about this next chapter in the horror comedy universe. The film boasts a strong supporting cast, with actor Viineet Kumar Singh reportedly playing the primary antagonist, while Vishal Jethwa is also said to have a significant role alongside Padda.’Shakti Shalini’ is currently said to be in its final stages of production, despite buzz indicating that the makers may not be sticking to the original December 2026 release. As per the latest buzz, rumours are rife that the team will consider an early January 2027 release to avoid a box-office clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s highly anticipated action thriller ‘King’. However, no official announcement has been made by the filmmakers.
