On November 1, as ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ celebrated its first anniversary, director Anees Bazmee shared his thoughts in a recent interview. He revealed that it’s a coincidence that the film was released on his birthday last year, not planned, just happenstance. Bazmee shared that even after a year, the movie remains close to the hearts of audiences and has become their go-to comfort watch.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Anees praised Kartik Aaryan, saying, “The boy has done an amazing job. The world would have never known of his fabulous comic timing if it wasn’t for Bhool Bhulaiyaa. I am planning a couple of comedies with Kartik,” said the filmmaker. When asked if ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’ is one of them, he replied, “Most definitely. It is work in progress. The love that the series has accrued over the years is unsurpassable. So yeah, it is happening. The only factor that I can confirm is Kartik.”

Anees Bazmee reflects on working with legends Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan

Reflecting on ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, Anees said the best part was working with Madhuri Dixit and Vidya Balan. He mentioned that having the two legends together never made him feel like he was working with legends. They were punctual, disciplined, competitive, and yet collaborative, which he found very enjoyable. When asked about ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’, he said it could feature Vidya and Madhuri again, but on the other hand, there might be a new actress who hasn’t been part of the franchise before.
