Anasuya Bharadwaj shuts down ‘aunty’ trolls after speaking against Sivaji: ‘I’m 40, he must be 54’

A big issue began after actor Sivaji made misogynistic comments about actresses and their dressing at the pre-release event of ‘Dhandoraa’. Several users criticised him for his words.Actress Anasuya Bharadwaj also slammed Sivaji for his comments. After her response, a section of the audience started trolling the actress.

Anasuya responds to age-shaming

On the last day Anasuya Bharadwaj took to her X account and strongly reacted to trolls who started age-shaming her and calling her “aunty.” She wrote, “One last thing I want to say today. Since they cannot address the real issue, some men and women are age-shaming me and calling me ‘aunty.’ But they respectfully call him ‘garu.’ And somehow, I am the hypocrite.”

Anasuya about age and fitness

In the same post, Anasuya spoke openly about age and fitness. She wrote, “I am 40. I think he is 54. Still, both of us take good care of our fitness and our ‘glamour,’ whether for our profession or for personal reasons.”

She also took a dig at the trolls by adding, “As for the people saying all this, they seem to be eternally young themselves—that’s a different topic altogether.”Anasuya further wrote, “Anyway, no matter how much we speak, it feels like blowing a conch in front of someone who refuses to hear.”

Standing strong and spreading love

Despite the negativity, Anasuya ended her message on a calm and positive note. She wrote, “Merry Christmas!! It’s another day to celebrate. Eat good food. Spend happy time with the people you love. Let’s get back to that!! Much love, always!”She further wrote, “I will always stand tall.. unbothered.. unaffected.. untouched..and strong.” She said her stand is about speaking for a section of society that has been ignored for a long time.Anasuya ended with the line, “Aap Jalan barkaraar rakhna..
