Amitabh Bachchan’s Juhu residence, Prateeksha, now owned by daughter Shweta, was flooded following heavy Mumbai rains. Bought by Amitabh after ‘Sholay,’ the home holds sentimental value. Meanwhile, Amitabh recently made his Telugu debut in ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ starring alongside Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, and Deepika Padukone.

The famous Juhu residence of Amitabh Bachchan, known as Prateeksha and now owned by his daughter Shweta Bachchan, has suffered from severe flooding due to heavy rains in Mumbai. Social media videos show the house surrounded by water reaching ankle height. Prateeksha is one of the three prime properties held by the Bachchan family. A video reveals a few people strolling through the flooded area, enjoying the rainy weather, while numerous cars drove cautiously through the waterlogged street. Workers who ventured out were seen using the road divider to steady themselves as they moved through the floods. Reportedly, Amitabh purchased the house back in 1976, and it is now estimated to be worth over Rs 50 crore. This residence is significant as both his children, Shweta Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, were born there. The name Prateeksha was given by his father, the poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. Initially, Amitabh lived at Prateeksha with his parents, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Teji Bachchan, before the family relocated to their current home, Jalsa, situated roughly a kilometre away.Amitabh Bachchan on the workfrontOn the work front, Amitabh Bachchan recently made his Telugu film debut with Nag Ashwin’s ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, portraying the character of Ashwatthama.
