Speculation swirled around Amitabh Bachchan joining Salman Khan’s ‘Battle of Galwan’ after a set photo surfaced. Director Apoorva Lakhia clarified that Big B was merely visiting, shooting a commercial nearby. Salman Khan is currently shooting for his upcoming film ‘Battle of Galwan’. Amidst the buzz around the movie, its director, Apoorva Lakhia, dropped a picture of Amitabh Bachchan on the film. Soon, it gave rise to the speculation that Big B will be sharing screen space with Khan in the war drama. However, the filmmaker has put an end to all the rumors with his clarification.

After Apoorva Lakhia shared a picture of Amitabh Bachchan on his Instagram stories and wrote, “Guess what he is telling me? legendonsetstoday,” the internet speculated that the megastar will star in ‘Battle of Galwan’. Now, the filmmaker shared that Big B has no involvement in the project. The Hindustan Times quoted him saying, “No. He was shooting for a commercial in the opposite studio, so I went to meet him and said hello.”

Amitabh Bachchan and Apoorva Lakhia have previously worked together on films like ‘Ek Ajnabee’ and ‘Mumbai Se Aaya Mera Dost’ (2003). Meanwhile, Big B had shared screen space with Salman Khan 17 years ago in ‘God Tussi Great Ho’ (2008).

Apart from Salman Khan, the film also stars Chitrangda Singh as the female lead. The movie is about the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese soldiers. Khan will be seen playing the army officer named Colonel Santhosh Babu. The film revolves around the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indo-Chinese troops, wherein Salman plays an army officer, Colonel Santhosh Babu. Apart from Salman and Chitrangda, the film also stars Abhilash Chaudhary, Ankur Bhatia, Vipin Bhardwaj, Abhishree Sen, Nirbhay Chaudhary, Siddharth Mooley, and Zeyn Shaw in pivotal roles.There were reports that suggested that Govinda will be making an appearance in the movie. However, no official announcement has been made as of now.
