Amaal reveals having a crush on Shraddha: ‘Insaan itni sweetheart’

Amaal Mallik reveals having a crush on Shraddha Kapoor, she was his senior in school: 'Insaan bhi itni sweetheart, sabse asli Instagram following uss ladki ki hai'

Music composer and singer Amaal Mallik is currently a part of ‘Bigg Boss 19’. He’s been in the news even before he went inside the ‘Bigg Boss’ house for making some candid comments about his family. A while ago, he had announced that he has broken ties with his family. He had also commented on his uncle Anu Malik. Now while he’s inside the Bigg Boss house, he recently made a candid revelation about his school days, he had a crush on actress Shraddha Kapoor. Shraddha, who was his senior in school, left a lasting impression on him with her simplicity and genuine nature. According to Amaal, that same honesty is the reason behind her massive Instagram following. This video of him talking about Shraddha has gone viral on the internet. Sharing the memory, he said, “School main bhi… Dentures pehen ke aati thi, meri senior thi… Meri school ki crush thi, aur insaan bhi itni sweetheart. Poore internet pe sabse asli following uss ladki ki hai bina kuch kiye. Na koi nakli followers na kuch.” He even mimicked one of Shraddha’s fun Instagram dances to show how she prefers being her real self online. He also revealed how she recently made a song viral by using it in one of her reels. Amaal also praised Shraddha’s popularity, pointing out that she is among the top actresses in India today. Recalling her power-packed moment in Stree 2, he added, “Uska ek scene hai where she arrives and the hair, choti se maarti hai sabko… Taaliyan hai theatres main.” He further noted that her portrayal as Aarohi in Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui 2 “changed everything” for her career.Meanwhile, Amaal has been in the spotlight for his unexpected entry into ‘Bigg Boss 19’. The move surprised even Salman Khan during the premiere, as fans didn’t imagine the musician taking up a reality show stint. Explaining his decision, Amaal shared that he wanted to connect with audiences on a personal level. He also spoke about himself and admitted that over the years, he has often been misunderstood. “I think that happened because I found success a bit too early. When you get that kind of success at 24, suddenly… I think I’ve mellowed down with age, slowed my pace a bit. So I thought, why not use this show to connect with all the people who’ve shown me love for the past 10 years? They know the music, but maybe not the person behind it. I want them to meet the real Amaal — not the one whose words or tweets accidentally turned into headlines. That Amaal exists too, but I want to show why he is the way he is,” he said.
