The 98th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, are right around the corner, and this year, the award season is going to be bigger than ever. With films like ‘Sinners’ and ‘One Day After Another’ leading the nominations, the competition is bound to be thrilling. Here is all you need to know about the 2026 Oscars, from when and where to watch to what to expect this time around.

When and where to watch the Oscars 2026

The award season will start off with the red carpet event, where all the celebrities will gather to show off their best looks for the night. The ceremony is on March 16, and the carpet ceremony will begin at 6:30 PM ET (4 AM in India). It will be available for streaming and viewing on ET, ABC, and E!. In India, it can be streamed on JioHotstar. The award ceremony itself will start at 7 PM ET (4:30 AM in India), and will be hosted by none other than Conan O’Brien. This will be his second consecutive year hosting the awards. The program will last three hours and will be filled with live performances, jokes, and award handouts.

Who will be performing at the Oscars 2026?

Many musical artists will be in attendance at the award show and have also been confirmed to take over the stage for a banging performance. Some of the people who have been confirmed to perform at the Oscars on March 16 include Josh Groban, Misty Copeland, Miles Caton, and Raphael Saadiq, along with Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami getting together to perform the hit song ‘Golden’ from ‘KPop Demon Hunters.’Eric Gales, Buddy Guy, Brittany Howard, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Jayme Lawson, Li Jun Li, Bobby Rush, Shaboozey, and Alice Smith will also join the stage

Where can the 2026 Oscars be streamed?

The award ceremony itself will also be available for viewers online. Same as last year, fans will be able to catch a glimpse of the starry night from the comfort of their home on Hulu.
