Born Kanneganti Brahmanandam on February 1, 1956, the actor had fairly humble beginnings and was one of 7 siblings. His father worked as a carpenter to provide for the family. As he grew up, Brahmanandam was very interested in crafts and later pursued a Master of Arts degree.He started his career with the TV show ‘Pakapakalu,’ which helped him gain recognition among the masses. His big break in film came in 1987 when he was cast in ‘Aha Naa Pellanta!’ Over the years, he has received many accolades for his contribution to cinema, including a Padma Shri and a Guinness World Record for the most acting credits for a living actor. While the actor has lessened his work frequency over the years to focus more on spending time with his family, he has surely managed to leave a lasting mark on the South Indian industry. Some of his most popular and loved projects include ‘Kannapa’, ‘Keedaa Cola’, ‘Money’, ‘Baadshah’, ‘Attarintiki Daredi’, and ‘Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam.’
