Alia on being trolled for quick weight loss after Raha’s birth

Alia Bhatt recalls being trolled for losing weight too quickly after Raha’s birth: 'I was breastfeeding, and it burns a lot of calories'

Alia Bhatt has always been vocal about balancing her career and personal life, but after welcoming her daughter Raha Kapoor in 2022, she found herself at the center of public scrutiny. The actress, who tied the knot with Ranbir Kapoor earlier that year, recently revealed how she was trolled for losing weight “too quickly” after pregnancy.

Alia on how she lost weight after Raha’s birth

Appearing on the second episode of Two Much With Kajol And Twinkle alongside Varun Dhawan, Alia set the record straight on her postpartum transformation.“After giving birth to Raha, I actually put on quite a bit of weight. I was breastfeeding, and it burns a lot of calories, and I was also eating clean. So I lost a lot of the weight quite quickly,” Alia explained.Despite the natural process, she recalled how a viral picture led to speculation. “I remember there was a picture that came out, and trolls were like, ‘Oh my god, she has done this through unnatural process. Why did she have to lose weight so quickly?’ I saw this and I was like, ‘Oh no, it just happened naturally this way’,” she added.

Ranbir Kapoor’s protective side as a father

The Gangubai Kathiawadi actress also spoke about Ranbir Kapoor stepping into fatherhood with full devotion. She revealed that Ranbir is overly protective of their daughter Raha, joking that he wouldn’t even let boys near her in the future.

Mahesh Bhatt’s silent blessing on their love story

Alia also shared a cherished memory with her father, Mahesh Bhatt, who offered his quiet approval of her relationship with Ranbir long before they married. “I told him I’m in love and he said, ‘I see it in your eyes, my child.’ Once, when he was dropping me to Ranbir’s home, he said, ‘Call him down. I want to meet him.’ And then Ranbir came down, and he did this to him. That was the moment—there was no advice, he just saw it in our eyes and was really happy for us,” she revealed. Go to Source
