Akshay reveals who he’s really SCARED of and its NOT ghosts

'Bhooth Bangla' star Akshay Kumar reveals who he’s really SCARED of and its NOT ghosts: 'My wife Tina's…' - Exclusive

After a 14-year hiatus, Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan are set to thrill audiences once more with ‘Bhoot Bangla,’ hitting cinemas on April 10, 2026. In a lighthearted promotional event, Akshay shared that the only thing scarier than his horror film is his wife Twinkle’s fiery temper, while Priyadarshan humorously confessed his fear of snakes.

Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are all set to bring their magic back on screen with their upcoming film ‘Bhoot Bangla,’ which is scheduled to release on April 10, 2026. The actor-director duo, who have entertained audiences with projects like ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa,’ ‘Hera Pheri,’ and ‘Bhagam Bhag,’ have reunited after almost 14 years, a reunion the audience has long been waiting for.

Who scares Akshay Kumar a lot?

During the promotions of the film, in an exclusive conversation with ETimes (Times of India), Akshay and the director were asked about the things they are most scared of. While Priyadarshan expressed his fear of reptiles, Akshay, who is known for his jovial nature, instantly admitted that he is scared of his wife Tina’s (Twinkle Khanna) temper and that nothing else can scare him. “My wife Tina’s temper is the scariest thing for me,” admitted Akshay in a jovial manner.

Director Priyadarshan has reptile allergy

On the other hand, the director confessed that he has a strong dislike for reptiles. He shared, “I don’t like reptiles. I get scared of them a lot. Even if any reptile is in my room, I will run away. It can be any snake, cockroach, rat, or lizard, anything… I have that reptile allergy.”

Do you believe in Ghosts? Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan answer

Having said that, as Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are coming up with a horror comedy film, ‘Bhoot Bangla,’ ETimes asked whether they truly believe in ghosts (bhoot) in real life. To this, the director explained, “I don’t believe in it at all; I am a psychology student, and I don’t believe in it. Horror plays in our mind, and even the protagonist of my films doesn’t believe in it and tries to find out the real story behind it, and the same will happen in the film: my lead, who doesn’t believe in ghosts, slowly starts believing in them and makes the audience also believe, and the story moves ahead with a little tense moment and finally a new perspective. But fun is guaranteed for sure.”‘Bhoot Bangla’ stars the late actor Asrani, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, Mithila Palkar, Wamiqa, Rajpal Yadav, and others in prominent roles. Go to Source
