Akshay Kumar on how Twinkle Khanna changed his life post-marriage

Akshay Kumar on how Twinkle Khanna changed his life post-marriage: 'Biwi aati hai toh Lakshmi aati hai'

In the latest episode of ‘Wheel of Fortune,’ host Akshay Kumar and celebrity guest Viraj Ghelani engaged in a hilarious conversation about how marriage transforms a man’s life. The episode featured Akshay’s heartfelt “Lakshmi” tribute to his wife Twinkle Khanna and Viraj Ghelani’s struggle with expensive skincare like niacinamide and salicylic acid.

Bollywood’s ‘Khiladi’ Akshay Kumar is currently winning hearts as the host of the Indian adaptation of ‘Wheel of Fortune.’ In an upcoming episode of the hit game show, actor got candid about his personal life, specifically the transformative and often hilarious impact of marriage. Joining him on stage was the newlywed influencer and stand up comedian, Viraj Ghelani, leading to a laugh-riot over skincare, “Lakshmi” entering the home, and the sudden disappearance of bachelor habits.

Akshay Kumar on married life

Reflecting on his 26-year journey with wife Twinkle Khanna, Akshay Kumar shared how a partner brings discipline and prosperity to a man’s chaotic life. He noted that marriage acts as a “settlement” that upgrades everything from a man’s diet to his daily habits.“Lekin kamaal hai yaar, biwi ghar par aati hai, sab kuch badal jaata hai. Aadmi jo istemaal karta tha aur kya istemaal karne lag jaata hai. Kya khata tha, phir ek settlement aa jaati hai,” Akshay observed. (But it’s amazing, yaar. When a wife comes into the house, everything changes. The things a man used to use change, and the things he starts using change too. What he used to eat changes as well, a kind of settlement comes into life). The ‘Housefull 5’ actor further underlined the traditional belief of how a wife ushers in good fortune, adding, “Ghar mein apne aap achha khana banna shuru ho jaata hai. Biwi ke aane se… wakai mai jab kehte hai ki Lakshmi aati hai gharme, wo sahi kehte ki hai ki jab biwi aati hai tab Lakshmi aati hai.” (Good food automatically starts being cooked at home. When a wife comes… people truly say that Goddess Lakshmi enters the house, and they are right.)

Viraj Ghelani’s skincare woes

The conversation took a comedic turn when digital creator Viraj Ghelani, who recently tied the knot, revealed how his bathroom has turned into a “cosmetic shop.” Viraj detailed a grooming routine so complex it left the multi-millionaire superstar feeling “poor.”Ghelani shared, “I have a separate soap for my forehead, a separate shampoo for my hair, a separate soap for my elbows, and a separate soap for my knees.” A stunned Akshay quipped, “Why is that? I also don’t have such richness.”Viraj further joked about his wife’s insistence on night time skincare, mentioning expensive chemicals that Akshay admitted he had never even heard of.“First, she made me wash my feet and then told me to apply niacinamide, salicylic acid, and all these are expensive things.” Reacting in disbelief, Akshay laughed and said, “Bhagwan kasam humko to yeh pata hi nahi hai abhi tak.”
