'Akhanda 2' box office collections day 12: Balakrishna film slows down; Collections drop to Rs 1 crore mark

‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ is experiencing a slowdown at the box office after a strong opening. While its second weekend saw good collections, weekdays witnessed a significant drop. The film earned approximately Rs 1 crore on its 12th day, bringing its total net collection to Rs 86.50 crore. Despite a decent Sunday, Monday saw a steep decline in earnings.

‘Akhanda 2: Thaandavam’ is now slowing down at the box office after 12 day run in cinemas.After a strong second weekend the film saw a big fall during the weekdays. On Day 12 the film earned around Rs 1.00 crore in India net across all languages as per early estimates by the Sacnilk website. This is slightly lower than Day 11 where the film collected Rs 1.05 crore. The total India net collection of the film now stands at Rs 86.50 crore.

Recent daily trend

On its second Sunday the film did well by collecting Rs 3.45 crore. However collections dropped heavily on Monday with a fall of nearly 70 percent. Tuesday numbers stayed flat around the Rs 1 crore mark.

Theatre occupancy on Tuesday

On Tuesday December 23 ‘Akhanda 2’ recorded an overall Telugu occupancy of 17.63 percent. Morning shows started with an occupancy at 14.63 percent. Afternoon shows improved slightly to 17.87 percent. Evening shows performed the best with 20.28 percent occupancy. Night shows dropped again to 17.73 percent.

Cast, direction and review

The film has Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role.
