Ajay limited drinking after THIS; prefers malt costing Rs 60k

In an inspiring revelation, Ajay Devgn shared his journey through the challenges of alcohol use, detailing the transformative changes he made to his lifestyle. After a rejuvenating stay at a wellness spa, he decided to embark on a month-long journey of sobriety, which led him to reassess his habits. Read on to know more.

Ajay Devgn recently opened up about his past drinking habits and the efforts he took to change his ways. In an interview, he talked about how he took steps to limit alcohol intake.

Ajay Devgn shares how he changed his habits

In an interview with SCREEN, Ajay shared the steps he decided to take to cut down on alcohol. He said, “Being very honest, I don’t hide what I do. I used to drink quite a bit.” However, the actor added that now he just goes for one or two glasses of malt—30 ml each. He said that this was a major change in his lifestyle.Sharing how he switched, he stated that after attending a wellness spa, he decided to be sober for a month and eventually shifted his preferences and routines. He said, “I went to a wellness spa and stopped drinking.” This change in life was to achieve better health and balance.In the same interview, the actor shared that he now opts for premium, limited-edition malt over his previous choice. As per the actor, the bottle of his new pick costs around Rs 60,000. He said, “At that time, I didn’t have malt at all. Now, I’ve started enjoying my malt. It’s not like even drinking for me. It’s like a routine which calms you, relaxes you. It’s just 30 ml with your food, maybe two 30 ml, but I’ve never crossed that limit since. ”

Ajay Devgn says he never gets high

Meanwhile, on ‘The Ranveer Show’, Devgn earlier shared that he doesn’t get high no matter how much he drinks at a time. The actor also expressed his opinion on who should be drinking alcohol. He stated that if one drinks, the person should enjoy it after having it, or else he shouldn’t.

As far as his films are concerned, Ajay will next feature in ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, co-starring R. Madhavan, Rakul Preet Singh, Gautami Kapoor, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Meezaan Jafri. Directed by Anshul Sharma, the film has been scheduled to hit cinemas on November 14, 2025. Go to Source
