‘Dhamaal 4’ has locked its theatrical release date. The comedy sequel will bring back Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, and Sanjay Mishra. The makers announced the update on Saturday, January 17, 2026, by sharing a ‘Dhamaal Times’ poster designed like a newspaper front page. The tagline read, “Ab Dhamaal bola hai toh karna hi padega” (Now that we have promised the fun, we have to deliver it). The announcement puts to rest weeks of speculation around the film’s launch window and positions it as a major summer release next year.
‘Dhamaal 4’ release plan and official announcement
The release update first appeared through promotional material shared by T-Series, the film’s producer. The studio captioned the post with, “Jaldi bata rahein hain, phir Dhamaal machane bhi toh jaana hai” (We are telling you early, because we also have to go and create the madness). Several media outlets, including coverage tracked by OTTplay, reported the confirmation soon after the poster dropped. With the date now fixed, the film shifts from its earlier plan and avoids a crowded box office period. The makers have chosen a clear window to maximise footfall and audience attention.
‘Dhamaal 4’ box office window and franchise context
The film was earlier slated to release on March 19, 2026. That date would have placed it against two large projects, Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: Part 2’ and Yash’s ‘Toxic’. The team decided to move away from the clash and secure a solo run. On June 12, the film will open one week after Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan’s ‘Hai Jawaani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’, which is scheduled for June 5, 2026.Indra Kumar returns to the director’s chair with a clear goal. He wants the fourth film to recapture the easy, chaotic humour that made the series click in the first place. The original ‘Dhamaal’ still holds a special place for many Hindi film fans and often ranks among the franchise’s most rewatched titles. ‘Double Dhamaal’ did not land the same way with audiences, while ‘Total Dhamaal’ earned a warmer response but still stayed a step behind the first film’s staying power.Ashish Chaudhary, who played Boman in the first two films, is unlikely to return. His key scenes featured Asrani, who has since passed away. Reports suggest Sanjay Dutt could return, and R. Madhavan might also appear, though details remain undisclosed. Viewers can currently stream ‘Total Dhamaal’ and ‘Double Dhamaal’ on JioHotstar and Lionsgate Play via OTTplay Premium. Go to Source
