Ajay Devgn saw a man dying while skydiving: ‘It was my turn next’

Ajay Devgn saw a man dying while skydiving while it was his turn next: 'Something similar happened with Leonardo Dicaprio'

Who doesn’t remember Ajay Devgn’s iconic entry scene in his debut film ‘Phool Aur Kaante’? Ajay is known to be doing some hardcore action in the movies and perhaps that also comes from his father Veeru Devgn who was an ace action director in the industry. In a recent interview, while promoting his film ‘De De Pyaar De 2’, Ajay’s co-star R Madhavan revealed that he hasn’t lost his daredevil action streak still. The film also stars Rakul Preet Singh, Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezan Jaaferi. During a chat with BookMyShow, Madhavan revealed, “He has jumped out of a plane, skydiving, without any practice. He has done it in a movie.” That statement led Ajay to recall a chilling memory from a skydiving experience that left a deep mark on him.Adding further to it, Ajay said, “As soon as I reached, I saw someone fall because his parachute didn’t open, and he died—right in front of me. And it was me next.” He also mentioned that the same skydiving site had once been the location of a near-disaster involving Leonardo DiCaprio. “Something similar happened with Leonardo DiCaprio, but his instructor jumped after him and saved his life. You will even find a message from him there that reads: ‘Thanks for saving my life.’” Meanwhile, ‘De De Pyaar De’ which has released in cinemas on Friday, is sequel that picks up directly from where the first film ended. Aashish and Ayesha (Rakul Preet Singh) continue navigating the complexities of their age-gap romance, but this time, the real test lies in winning over her family. While the 2019 original was directed by Akiv Ali, the sequel is directed by Anshul Sharma.
