The Indian Women’s National Cricket team has made the country proud as they’ve just won the World Cup. The entire country is cheering for them and many celebs also poured their wishes on this joyous moment. Meanwhile, just after winning the World Cup, Smriti Mandhana who is the vice captain of Team India, is set to tie the knot with long time boyfriend Palash Mucchal as per reports. Now as per an interesting update, reportedly, the wedding will happen at a place close to Smriti’s heart, which is Sangli. Smriti and Palash made their relationship public in 2024 through an Instagram post, and now the couple is all set to tie the knot. As per a recent report by Anand Bazaar Patrika, their wedding is scheduled for November 20, 2025, and will be held in Smriti’s hometown of Sangli, Maharashtra. The festivities are expected to kick off in Sangli itself, the place where she grew up — though the cricketer was actually born in Mumbai.Sangli holds deep emotional significance for Smriti, as it’s where she first picked up the bat and began her cricket training before going on to represent India. She completed her schooling in Madhavnagar, a suburb of Sangli. The report further adds that both families are planning an intimate celebration that promises “the perfect blend of music as well as cricket.” Meanwhile, to celebrate India’s win, Palash who is a proud boyfriend, posted a photo of Smriti and the World Cup. He wrote, “Sabse aage hai hum Hindustani 🇮🇳” Netizens dropped hearts on this post and called him a ‘lucky guy’. Palash also has confirmed his wedding with Smriti. He said at an event, at the State Press Club, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… bas itna hi kehna hai (that’s all I want to say).” He added with a grin, “Main ne aapko headline de diya (I’ve given you the headline).”
