After ‘Chandu Champion’, Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan to reunite for Rs 150 crore sports action drama film - Reports

After the critical and commercial success of ‘Chandu Champion’, Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan are reportedly set to collaborate again for a Rs 150 crore sports-based action drama.

According to reports by Bollywood Hungama, the film will be inspired by an incredible true story and will mark the most expensive project of Aaryan’s career. Kabir Khan has reportedly crafted a story that blends intense action, human emotion, and raw drama. The director believes Aaryan is a perfect fit for this ambitious script.

Kabir Khan’s vision meets Kartik Aaryan’s transformation

Kabir Khan is known for the films like ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ’83’. Now he has once again chosen a narrative rooted in sports which is elevated through emotion and realism. Reports describe the film as a “hard-hitting spectacle” that will explore determination and resilience under extreme odds. The project is expected to go on floors next year, with Sajid Nadiadwala likely returning as producer.

Kartik on how ‘Chandu Champion’ transformed him

Taking a look back in time, Kartik Aaryan opened up about ‘Chandu Champion’ in 2024, during the Agenda Aaj Tak event.Aaryan revealed how the film transformed him both personally and professionally. He humorously admitted to exaggerating his swimming skills to bag the role of Murlikant Petkar, India’s first Paralympic gold medallist. “When Kabir sir asked if I could swim, I said yes—but I could barely float,” Kartik laughed. What followed was 18 months of rigorous training in swimming and wrestling, resulting in one of his most demanding physical transformations.Now, with Kabir Khan’s next big venture, Aaryan seems ready to once again test his limits. An official announcement from the team is expected soon and the fans are eagerly waiting.On the other hand, Kartik was last seen in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’.
