With Dhurandhar, Aditya Dhar has scripted history not only in Hindi cinema but in Indian cinema. And on Friday, Aditya’s Guru wrote a sentimental note on the success of his student. Taking to social media veteran director Priyadarshan who is known for films like Hera Pheri, Virasat, Garam Masala etc, wrote “There is no greater happiness than watching my disciple rise with such remarkable success. Congratulations, Aditya Dhar, on Dhurandhar, and heartfelt best wishes for Dhurandhar 2.” Aditya Dhar was dialogue writer for Priyadarshan’s Aakrosh and Tezz. The gesture prompted an emotional response from Dhar, who replied with an extended note thanking his mentor, while also reflecting on his early days in the industry and Priyadarshan’s role in shaping his craft. He wrote , “My Dearest Priyan Sir… this means more to me than I can ever put into words!! You believed in me when I was a nobody, and when all I had was conviction and a few written pages. You treated me like an equal, and gave me something far more precious than just work — dignity, trust, and love.”
“In an industry where I often learnt what not to do, you taught me exactly what to do, not just as a filmmaker, but as a human being. From writing dialogues for Aakrosh and Tezz to standing here today, every step carries your imprint.I will forever be your student first. Thank you for everything, Sir. This success is as much yours as it is mine” he added. Priyadarshan is all set to return to Hindi cinema with Bhoot Bangla starring Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi and Tabu.He also recently completed his next Hindi film Haiwaan with Saif Ali Khan in the lead and a cameo apperance by Mohanlal and if all goes well he will be kickstarting Hera Pheri 3 this year.
