‘Adipurush’ writer Manoj Muntashir says there’s ‘NO SHAME in admitting it FAILED’ amid ‘Ramayana’ comparisons; praises Yash for Ravana

As Nitesh Tiwari’s much-awaited ‘Ramayana’ gears up for release, ‘Adipurush’ writer Manoj Muntashir has urged fans and critics to avoid drawing comparisons between the two films. He also extended his best wishes to the upcoming project. The writer went on to praise Yash for his portrayal of Ravana in the epic. Let’s take a look at what he has to say.

Manoj Muntashir speaks on ‘Ramayana’ comparisons with ‘Adipurush’

According to ANI, speaking to the media in Mumbai on Tuesday, the lyricist and writer praised actor Yash for his portrayal of Ravana in Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’. He said, “Yash is a very good actor, and there is no doubt in this. My best wishes will be with every film that brings our story to the world stage. I have a lot of best wishes for ‘Ramayana’.”Addressing the ongoing comparisons between ‘Ramayana’ and his own film ‘Adipurush’, Manoj Muntashir said, “It is better not to compare ‘Ramayana’ with ‘Adipurush’. There should be no shame in admitting that ‘Adipurush’ couldn’t meet the expectations. People who are associated with the film made it with a lot of effort, but it was a failed attempt. I am very proud that ‘Adipurush’s music has reached the people. The film’s music is a big hit. I hope that the music of ‘Ramayana’ matches the music of ‘Adipurush’ and goes beyond that.”

The film also faced heavy criticism over its dialogues and portrayal of Lord Rama and Ravana.
