Famed actor Scott Bryce, best known for his work on ‘One Life To Live’, ‘Sex and the City’, and ‘As The World Turns’, has passed away. The news of his passing has sent shockwaves across the industry as fans and fellow co-stars mourn his loss.

Scott Bryce passed away at the age of 68 on July 12. Lucie Arnaz, daughter of Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, first confirmed the news. She shared a post on her Facebook account, which has since been deleted. She wrote about how great a person Bryce was and how much he will be missed.Her post also read, “A wonderful actor, a beautiful man and a terrific husband and father, Scott Bryce, passed tonight. I am going to miss his eyes, his smile, his wit, his brain, his intelligence, his talent, his bravery, his laugh and his hugs. Dearest Jodi, dear Jackson, he’s watching over you now from a place of pure joy and will always be your guide. But I hate these goodbyes. Rest in peace you marvelous, magnificent man.” Arnaz had worked with Bryce on two projects: ‘The Pack’ and ‘Sons and Daughters.’ They had been close friends since then.

Scott Bryce’s cancer had returned

Last year, the actor announced that he had been diagnosed with stage 3 oesophageal and stomach cancer. However, according to his recent updates, the actor had been “on the mend” and reassured his fans that he was on the road to recovery. However, in the social media post shared by Arnaz, she confirmed that his cancer had, in fact, returned. She replied to a fan’s comment asking what had happened to the actor.

Who was Scott Bryce?

Full name Scott Macalister Bryce, he was a known and loved TV and film actor active in the entertainment industry since 1977. He only stepped away from taking up projects after receiving his cancer diagnosis. Bryce was born on January 6, 1958, in New York City. Bryce came from an acting background; his father, Ed Bryce, was also a known soap opera star. His father had appeared in various projects including ‘Loving’, ‘Another World’, and ‘Guiding Light’. From an early age, he was a part of his school’s theatre group, and as he grew up, he also scored a role in a Broadway production titled ‘Caesar & Cleopatra’ starring alongside Rex Harrison in 1977.He followed in his father’s footsteps and made his debut as an actor in 1982 with ‘As the World Turns’. He appeared in many other roles over the years, including ‘Blue Bloods’, ‘Homeland’, ‘30 Rock’, ‘Sex and the City’, ‘The Golden Girls’, and many others.
