Abhinav responds to Salman’s ‘Kaam mila kya bhai?’ remark

Abhinav Kashyap responds to Salman Khan’s 'Kaam mila kya bhai?' remark; accuses him of ‘bullying the weak’; 'Salman ke ghaav jaise hi bhar jaaye, unko wapas kured do'

Abhinav Kashyap, who directed Salman Khan’s Dabangg, has once again levelled sharp allegations against the superstar. For months, Abhinav has been speaking about his fallout with the actor in multiple interviews and podcasts. Recently, Salman’s jibe on Bigg Boss 19—where he asked Abhinav, “Kaam mila kya bhai?”—went viral. Abhinav has now responded to the remark in a new interview.Reacting to the remark in an interview with Bollywood Thikana, Abhinav said, “Nahi mila kaam, tabhi toh aapke yahan baitha hoon. Yahi mera kaam hai. Tere naam humne kiya hai jeevan apna saara sanam. Toh mere jeevan mein aajkal yahi kaam hai ki Salman Khan ke ghaav jaise hi bhar jaaye, unko wapas kured do. Do mahine ho gaye, do mahine se bechara pareshaan hai. Ab thode thode uske zakhm bhar rahe honge, toh maine kaha chalo, wapas cheel ke aayenge, thoda khoon baha ke aayenge.” (I didn’t get work, that’s why I’m sitting here with you. This is my work now: the moment Salman Khan’s wounds begin to heal, I scratch them open again… Poor guy has been troubled for two months. Now that his wounds must be healing, I thought — let’s peel it open again and spill some blood.)

Claims Salman ‘ill-treated’ him during Dabangg

Abhinav continued his attack by alleging that Salman mistreated him during the making of Dabangg. He said, “Maine pehle bhi bola tha ki abhi humare bhi talve chaatega. Usne Nishaanchi ki taarif ki thi, uske pratikriya mein maine bola tha ki abhi humari taarif bhi karega, talve bhi chaatega. Agar Salman Khan ko meri likhai itni pasand thi, toh Dabangg bante waqt itna ill-treat kyun kiya mujhe?”He added, “Teen podcasts mein maine jitne sawaal uthaye iske charitra pe, iske harkaton pe, court cases pe — ek ka bhi jawab nahi diya. Yeh mujhe salaah de raha hai ki main kaam kar loon. Mujhe maloom hai main achha likhta hoon. Tabhi toh mujhe Dabangg mili, tabhi toh maine Dabangg ki script likhi. Par uska shrey tumne utha ke apne nikamme bhai Arbaaz ko de diya.” (If he liked my writing so much, why did he treat me so badly during Dabangg? I raised questions about his character, behaviour and court cases across three podcasts — he didn’t answer even one. I wrote Dabangg, but he took the credit away and gave it to his useless brother Arbaaz.)

‘Salman only bullies weak people’

Going further, Abhinav alleged that Salman targets only those he thinks he can overpower. He stated, “Salman Khan sirf kamzor logon ko dabbata hai. Toh woh tabhi dabata hai jab dabaa sakta hai. Inko samajh aa gaya hai main dabunga nahi, kyunki mere saath toh satya hai. Gundaa toh yeh hai. Murderer toh yeh hai.”He added, “Haan, maar de toh? Toh usko pata chalega ki uske karmon ki saza usko mil rahi hai. Main nahi darta.” (Salman only suppresses weak people. He knows I won’t be suppressed because truth is on my side. He is the goon, he is the murderer… Even if he kills me, it will only prove karma is coming for him. I am not afraid.)

Salman Khan Blasts Abhinav Kashyap| Says ‘Go After Your Own Brother’

Says he was ‘young and unaware’ during Dabangg

Reflecting on his experience while making Dabangg, Abhinav said, “Woh din alag the, Dabangg mein main chhota tha, young tha, bahut saari cheezein samajhta nahi tha… Inhone goonde pal rakhe the, film ke producer the, rights unki gufa mein the. Bade raja bante the.” (Those were different days. I was young and didn’t understand many things. They had goons around… the rights were locked away in their cave. They acted like kings.)

‘Salman ke chehre se hansi gaayab ho gayi hai’

Abhinav further claimed that Salman appears tense these days.”Salman ke chehre se hansi gaayab ho gayi hai. Aajkal kahin bhi muskuraate nazar nahi aate. Thoda latka rehta hai hamesha.” (The smile has disappeared from Salman’s face. These days he doesn’t seem happy anywhere; he always looks tense.)Salman Khan will next be seen in Battle of Galwan.
