DC fans have another reason to cheer as Aaron Pierre joins the cast of James Gunn’s ‘Superman sequel, Man of Tomorrow’. The news dropped this week, adding some serious firepower to an already stacked lineup. Aaron Pierre plays John Stewart, the no-nonsense Green Lantern fans know from the comics and animated series. He’s already set to lead HBO’s ‘Lanterns’ series this summer, teaming up with Kyle Chandler’s Hal Jordan to tackle a creepy murder case on Earth. Now, according to a report by Deadline, he’s crossing over to the big screen, bringing his willpower-fueled ring into Superman’s world. Picture this: Superman faces off against a massive threat, and John Stewart swoops in with glowing green constructs to back him up. Gunn loves these team-ups, and Pierre’s role feels like a natural bridge between TV and film. It builds on the first Superman movie’s vibe, where we saw other heroes like Hawkgirl and Guy Gardner pop up. ‘Superman’ core team unites David Corenswet is back as Clark Kent, the earnest farm boy turned Man of Steel. He’ll clash and maybe even team up with Nicholas Hoult’s scheming Lex Luthor, who’s plotting something big.
