Aamir Khan recently made an appearance on Season 4 of Ajivasan Act in Mumbai. Several photos and videos of him from the event went viral on the internet and his singing skills courted appreciation. But a noticeable and sudden weight gain caught the attention of netizens. Fans flocked to the comments section of one such video posted on a Reddit sub. During a recent interview, Aamir Khan clarified that the weight gain was due to steroid treatment for migraines.Fans express concernA post’s comment section was filled with concern from fans. One expressed, “It’s sad but the Khans are really old now and these will just increase with time. Hopefully his health issues are nothing serious.” Another viewer empathized, noting, “This happens to a lot of us and it’s really difficult when the medicine is essential but the side effect really kicks in as well. And with him past 60, it becomes even more difficult to contend with.” Supporters also defended the actor, saying, “He doesn’t need to give explanations for his weight gain.. Amir, srk, salman, akshay are around the age of 60 .. we should give them a break and stop body shaming, and let them live and relax. The actor revealed that he has been experiencing migraines for some time now and for that, he needs to be on steroid treatment. That causes him to put on weight; he can’t help it. In fact, he has started his diet and workout because he needs to get back into shape for whatever his next film is. The actor shared, “I have been having migraines for some time, and for that I need to be on steroid treatment. That causes me to put on weight, I can’t help it. In fact, I’ve started my diet and workout because I need to get back into shape for whatever my next film is.”Aamir’s current health statusDelving further into it when asked if the condition has been treated, the actor said, “No, because they’re not able to figure out why it’s happening. The steroid is taking the headaches away. But I can’t keep taking steroids. Sometimes, you know, it’s difficult to diagnose exactly why things are happening. I understand it’s complicated.”Aamir Khan’s latest workOn the work front, Aamir Khan’s latest film was ‘Sitaare Zameen Par.’ It was a follow-up to his 2007 hit ‘Taare Zameen Par’. The film stars Aamir and Genelia Deshmukh along with several new actors. He also made a special appearance in the movie ‘Coolie’, which features Rajinikanth and other stars.
