He clarified that Junaid’s upcoming movie, ‘Ek Din,’ is a classic love story and not similar to ‘Saiyaara,’ which reportedly deals with Alzheimer’s. ‘Ek Din’ is a remake and marks Sai Pallavi’s Bollywood debut.

Aamir Khan recently opened up about his son Junaid Khan and his upcoming film ‘Ek Din’. The superstar shared that his son takes his own decisions and doesn’t consult him before signing any project. He also expressed his thought about whether Junaid’s ‘Ek Din’ is similar to Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s ‘Saiyaara’.

Aamir Khan calls Junaid Khan ‘strong-willed’

In an interview with Variety India, Aamir Khan called his son, Junaid Khan, a “strong-willed” person. The superstar added that at his home he is more like a friend to the kids—Junaid, Ira, and Azad. He stated that they have a simple equation with him. Aamir said, “As for Junaid, I think he’s just like me! He has a sharp sense of cinema, of script, of editing, and he is quite strong-willed.”

Aamir Khan reveals Junaid Khan signs movies without consulting him

In the same conversation, Aamir Khan shared that his son, Junaid Khan, takes up film projects on his own. The actor stated that he taught his son how to play chess at a very young age. The superstar further shared that now he cannot win against Junnaid in the board game. He said, “And one more thing. Junaid does not consult me about anything he takes on. I believe he has signed two films, one of which is with Ektaa Kapoor. He decides these things himself, and that’s great.”

Aamir Khan shares if ‘Ek Din’ and ‘Saiyaara’ are similar

In the same interaction, Aamir Khan called ‘Ek Din’ a “kind of classic love story we have not seen in a long while.” When asked if the movie is about Alzheimer’s condition, similar to ‘Saiyaara’, the superstar laughed and rubbished the question. He said, “The film is completely different.”
