120 Bahadur is Farhan’s 5th solo-lead film to cross the Rs 10 Crore

'120 Bahadur' Emerges as Farhan Akhtar’s 5th solo-lead film to cross the Rs 10 Crore weekend mark

Celebrating a remarkable achievement, Farhan Akhtar’s new release, 120 Bahadur, has just topped Rs 10 crore at the box office during its debut weekend. This success signifies Akhtar’s fifth film in which he takes center stage. Though the film began with modest earnings, it picked up momentum thanks to enthusiastic cinema-goers and glowing reviews, particularly from the youth.

Farhan Akhtar has added yet another milestone to his career as his latest release, 120 Bahadur, has officially become the actor’s fifth solo-lead film to cross the Rs 10 crore weekend mark. 120 Bahadur is the lesser known tale of the Rezang La battle between India and China during the Indo-Sino War of 1962 .The film opened with a weekend collection of Rs 10.10 crore in India, placing it right in the middle of Farhan’s filmography when compared to the opening weekends of his earlier releases. The film began on a somber note as it collected just Rs 2.25 crore on its opening day but saw a massive jump over the weekend to collect Rs 3.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 4 crore on Sunday. The film’s opening is below the likes of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, and Dil Dhadakne Do.

Raashii Khanna Shares BTS Magic With Farhan Akhtar In ‘120 Bahadur’

A comparative look at Farhan’s past opening weekends highlights just how significant this achievement is. His highest openers continue to be Dil Dhadakne Do (Rs 37.05 crore), Shaadi Ke Side Effects (Rs 34.23 crore), Bhaag Milkha Bhaag (Rs 32.30 crore), and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (Rs 28.25 crore). These films weren’t just big openers; they went on to achieve major lifetime numbers and strengthened Farhan’s position as a bankable solo lead. Following these titles, 120 Bahadur slots in firmly at No. 6 on the list, above many of Farhan’s earlier works such as Karthik Calling Karthik (Rs 8.92 crore), Lucknow Central (Rs 8.42 crore), Rock On!! 2 (Rs 7.01 crore), Rock On!! (Rs 6.02 crore), and Luck By Chance (Rs 5.97 crore). Industry watchers note that 120 Bahadur benefitted from strong multiplex occupancy, excellent WOM from youth audiences, and Farhan’s action-oriented avatar. Farhan is now all set to return as a sa director with Don 3 with Ranveer Singh in 2026, Singh takes over the reins from Shah Rukh Khan.
