Why India removed Edwin Lutyens’ bust from Rashtrapati Bhavan, a building he designed

A bronze statue of Edwin Lutyens stood tall in the central courtyard of Rashtrapati Bhavan for years. However, the British architect’s bust has been replaced with that of India’s first and only Governor-General, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari.
