Why delimitation has become a bone of contention between Centre and southern states

The Centre is seeking to put to a vote three significant bills introduced during the ongoing special session of Parliament. However, the deadlock with the Opposition over the delimitation bill remains. Despite assurances, southern states fear losing out on representation in the Lok Sabha if constituencies are redrawn based on population
