News18 SheShakti 2025 Delhi edition began with empowering words from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, setting the tone for the celebration

Lions International presents News18 SheShakti, India’s premier platform for honouring and celebrating the women of today’s India leading the nation, just held its 2025 Delhi edition. The celebration brought together leading women from governance, defence, business, arts, sports, and technology who aren’t just breaking barriers but building New Bharat.

News18 SheShakti 2025 Delhi edition began with empowering words from the Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, setting the tone for the celebration. President Murmu highlighted how News18 SheShakti, has always been about celebrating women as beacons of strength and accomplishment, acknowledging how they carve out opportunities for themselves while accelerating the nation forward.

Building on that, former Cabinet Minister and Founder of the Alliance for Global Good, Smriti Irani, spoke about going after what she wanted, whether in politics or acting. She underlined how every woman must climb her own ladder and take pride in her financial growth. From her path-breaking work across ministries, creating digital governance tools, drafting national policies, to leaving a legacy in Indian entertainment, Smriti Irani’s words sparked unmatched passion.

In the space of foreign relations, British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, shared how confidence and self-belief helped her make her mark in male-dominated fields. She recalled entering situations feeling scared and unready, but explained that this is how confidence is built, like a muscle, underscoring the theme of empowerment.

Speaking about women leading cinema, Actor & Entrepreneur Kriti Sanon pointed out the natural ability of women to be entrepreneurs by being problem solvers and good listeners, adding that all her journeys began with passion. On a similar note, Actor Sanya Malhotra, part of three National Award-winning films, shared how her entrepreneurial journey also grew from passion, stressing the importance of drive to overcome challenges.

Other visionaries across AI, arts, sports, and policy, shared lessons from their fields, with messages of innovation, empowerment, and inclusivity, reinforcing the core theme of the summit: women are no longer waiting for change; they are leading it.
