PM Mitra Park: On his 75th birthday, Modi to launch ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ in Dhar

The ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ is an initiative to provide women-centric preventive, promotive, and curative health services at the community level

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a jam-packed schedule on his 75th birthday on September 17, as he is going to launch the PM Mitra Park and the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ (healthy woman, strong family campaign) in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar on Wednesday.

PM Modi is set to launch a major initiative jointly spearheaded by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) and the Ministry of Women and Child Development (MoWCD). Touted as India’s largest-ever mobilisation for women and child health, the campaign will see over one lakh health camps established nationwide, with daily camps conducted at all government health facilities.

What’s the campaign about?

The ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’ is an initiative to provide women-centric preventive, promotive, and curative health services at the community level.

It will enable stakeholders to strengthen screening, early detection, and treatment linkages for non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, and sickle cell disease. The campaign also aims at promoting maternal, child, and adolescent health through antenatal care, immunisation, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, lifestyle, and mental health awareness activities.

In a post on social media platform X, Union Health Minister JP Nadda stated that the campaign aims to enhance healthcare services for women and children across India by improving access, quality of care, and awareness. He urged private hospitals and healthcare stakeholders to actively participate and play a key role in the ‘Jan Bhagidaari Abhiyaan’ (People’s Participation Campaign).

2 special pavilions to be showcased

During the event in Dhar, PM Modi will be shown two pavilions exclusively on the occasion of his birthday.

The first pavilion will showcase around 15 stalls highlighting a range of services and products dedicated to promoting women’s health and empowerment. The second pavilion will spotlight the PM MITRA Park initiative, designed to strengthen India’s textile sector.

It will feature detailed exhibits, including effluent treatment plants, a common steam boiler, a 3D model of the park, and displays on textile policies and the garment industry.
